If you make beyond 9 picks you will have to use your 3 best bets. You should see a big red message on top of your cart. Did you choose the three "money balls?

I would guess it goes by the most unit won. Best bets do double up your units on winners and takes a double hit on losses.

The system only lists what is checked. It sounds like you might have clicked the opposite check-box per that team.
