Why does everyone love college basketball so much??

Each year, I can never understand it. There is more hype on this board for college bball than any other sport, even NFL. You guys seem to love it like crazy. I honestly cannot see why though...

so many ****ing teams it's almost impossible to follow
this also makes most games seem just unimportant
you never even know which games will have lines
most games i can never watch
maybe becasue i dont live in the US so i dont have any connection to these schools or loyalties?

the only good thing i can think of is that games end in 2 hrs flat, instead of drawn out 3.5 hour football games.

i prefer betting on any other sport though.

Its the excitement on the hardwood, games everyday, march madness, schools that you don't see in other sports often. Guys playing their hearts out etc etc etc

Love college basketball, like the fact it's not played almost entirely above the rim like NBA seems to me, love seeing the small schools pull of the upsets, love watching schools like Gonzaga and Butler push their way into being legitimate contenders year in and year out.

But mostly it gives me something to watch during baseball's offseason.

As a gambler how can you not love the hundreds of games per week to bet on? Saturdays during college bball season are just ridiculous. Back when Las Palmas was offering 2-team, +650, 4 pt basketball pleasers (and paying people) it would take me over an hour just to round robin all of my pleasers.

I can't stand college basketball. They miss so much shot and can't shoot many of them. Everytime I see it, its boring nobody is a great shooter only like 1%. Maybe its just me since I watch a lot of NBA, but then again Euro basketball is better watching then college. Like the first time I saw Adam Morrison play, I was like why are they hyping this boring guy. He has no shot, he his slow, and only thing he is doing is throwing the ball up at the baseline. I would never thought he will make the NBA. GUess the hype got him to the league but is a garbage player. Top Euro player are better then him and don't have a shot in the NBA. He needs to go to the D league.

Its obvious why people love it. Its so easy to find a few simple winners in college. So many games on the board books always miss out on a few #'s. I do agree with the poster who started this thread the shit is annoying. I mean 99.995 of these guys amount to nothing in life anyways.

Its played (theoretically) for free, and there are 300+ teams to cap.... 10x more than the lazy nba players games...... who each team play half as much and don't give a shit most of the time as the NBA teams


and basically when it comes down to it, how can you not love a sport that makes the linesmakers 2-4 more games to cap than the mainstream NBA teams....
