      I can imagine you being a respected Tavli player in your local Tavernas

      I play it for fun with friends, one of them plays for money but you have to be careful with people who can fix dice.

                Why would you play it unless for money?
                I think its a cultural thing, in alot of the Balkans, Eastern Mediterranean and Middle East they play the game for fun, kids learn it when there young and its played at hme, cafes, tea gardens etc

                They also play it for money.

                In the US is it played mostly for money? you wouldn't play it with friends?
