Durito, thanks. The guy wasn't very nice though. he said I should go back and cancel the transfer at **. I explained I could not and he said to just use quick collect. i told him i could not and asked if the money would post once the "Costa Rican power outage" is resolved? he said it might post tomorrow. Really nervous here. Hope you're right about these guys. GL tonight on whatever you're playing.

Is it western union or a bank wire? Your first post led me to believe it was a bank wire.

I would assume you are safe with the Greek, but personally I won't do ** as you are basically just sending money to an individual in a third world country. Yes, they work for the book, and people seem to have sucess doing it, so I wouldn't worry too much -- but they should have the $ right away, whereas a bank wire can take time.

It was a ** transfer

to a 3rd party name that the Greek rep gave me this afternoon. When I called in the money transfer number they told me it would post shortly. Now 4 hours have gone by and nada!!! Anyone ever hear this "power outage" line before? I really hope I get my money. Wanted to bet Boston tonight and am pissed. Unreal!

CR is experiencing mass outages. I know San Jose was out yesterday. Here is the last thing I read about the power.

In regards to the Greek, if you sent it as directed you shouldn't have a problem outside of the delay.

Thanks for the post. have you seen this happen before where a deposit is delayed because of a power outage? It sucks that I missed my Boston bet but my main concern is just seeing the money post on my acct. I hope the power outage doesn't mean info is lost as I would HATE to go back to the ** counter and ask for my money back. They already look at me like a degenerate **** ( to quote jj) for sending money regularly off shore and have asked some tough questions in the past.

It sounds like that particular office might not have had power when it was supposed to be collected. I've never heard of outages taking out a ** but from what I hear these outages were very out of the ordinary.

No money yet but did get an e-mail about it. This lady was quite friendly. Boston ended up losing so I'm happy the money was delayed. LOL! Just hope I get it today though.

You should be buztah. As long was ** didn't hold it up for some reason, when the power is back you will be credited.

Thanks, Lakerfan. They told me it should post at about 11:30 est or 10:30 CT IF the power is back on and assuming the power outage did not interfere with the actual ** transfer. The lady at ** who helped me send the money said it went through alright so the only issue should be the need for the Greek rep to pick up the money, assuming the ** store in San Jose is open today. Thanks for the kind words.

Update: No transactions have been processed yet that were received yesterday during or after the power outage but "should be processed in the next halh hour." I will try back at noon.

I am really ****ING pissed off now! Still no money posted and I just got off the phone again with these guys. I asked whether any other transactions were a problem and was told there were about 15 other schmucks in the same boat? I asked what were the chances the Greek could resolve this matter for me as I gave the MTCN number and the contact. I was told they were not certain if they would be able to get my money. I asked if they could please follow up on this matter with the particulalr ** office with whom they work. I was told they were not sure anything could be done. Then I was placed on hold for a while and told to try back tomorrow. WTF is this? STAY AWAY FROM THE ****ING GREEK! A+ rating. Bullshit! If it's this hard to get money in I can't imagine trying to get it out.
