Getting tired of ESPN featuring special needs H.S.kids getting choreographed scores.
Every week ESPN runs a feature on blind kids or rain man special needs kids in high school scoring a touchdown on the last play of the season when they are up by 60 points. That and chucking a basketball in similar situations where some kid lucks out and makes a 90 footer for his first and last shot of his career.Anyone see the one where the coach held a conference for a few minutes at the end of the game with the opposing coach and his players choreographing a play where the mentally challenged kid ran the entire field for a touchdown in a wedge caravan block that non was non contested by the other team that took 30 seconds?Do you think they all could have been a little more subtle about a play where he could have stumbled in from the one foot line?Even a mentally challenged kid knows he's being jive turkeyed when he goes back home and watches the play on DVD.There should be a resolution that if you set up feel good plays that you have to at least practice them ahead of time like pro wrestling moves.

one of my fav stories in sports ever STILL is the autistic water boy that got into one game and drained about 8 three's in 4 mins.... I mean that wasn't choreographed

he actually had to make those threes

                I hate the over-hype.
It's like they know nobody could care about sport in and of itself. Let's tell them why they should care and what they should feel.

What really sucks is when they start telling athletes "overcoming obstacles" or showing grandma in the stands. Keep the camera on the field and your mouths shut, you ****ing nitwits.

Being autistic isn't the same as being mentally challenged. In fact, most highly functioning autistic kids are much smarter than everyone else.

The coach must feel like a dumass. He had this kid on the bench all season who can shoot 60% 3's.

nah, its a real good story. Good for that kid.
