    WSEX baseball
How come a top-rated book like WSEX, with baseball lines worth playing, can't even include an option for 'action'?

    Unreal.

does it really matter in the end? Maybe a handful of times in a season...

        It matters.

If you place a baseball bet you should be able to choose between action or pitcher for each pitcher.

Why? Because there are times when a bet may have little or nothing to do with who's pitching.

Instead of offering an 'action' option, WSEX cancels wagers if there is a change in starting pitchers. That does NOT happen a few times a season!

Since the problem is easy to fix, why not do so? Better than bettors coming home to find out their winning wager was, once again, canceled.

Dark Horse, you get the new price if the pitching changes, which makes me ask two questions in this spot that cause me to ALWAYS choose listed pitchers:

          1. Who knows whether you'll like the new price? Even if your bet had nothing to do with the pitchers, the pitchers can price you out of your bet.

          2. Who knows whether this book will offer you a decent price? Maybe before they had value, now they might lean the other way.

Assuming you're going to be around, I'd much rather check WSEX to verify that the price is right rather than going somewhere else. Plenty of dimelines out there.

Typically a book offers the 'action' option. WSEX does not. Reasons why people might or might not want to use that option are personal, and I don't mean to change this into a discussion about those individual preferences. I believe a top book should allow a bettor to select any combination of listed pitchers (one or both) and action (one or both teams).

DH is 200% right. WSEX is only noteworthy book I know of that does not offer Action, at least not online.

Dark Horse, do they accept Action Bets over the phone?

You're right, DH - of course they should offer the option. It can only be good for all concerned. My guess is that they either have a software issue or don't want to have to deal with the moral hazard issues (they are options traders, after all), probaly the former.
