#16My favorite quote from a guy on SBR was awesome. One guy had mentioned he was getting married and he found this perfect chick right! He said something like. My account is at$0 somewhere and his fiancee was asking him win he was going to reload it. He said " I know she is the one because she supports my gambling. The other dude was like...... " She might support your gambling, but she sure as hell won't support your losing" Nothing could be closer to the truth..Comment -

Lately though I haven't picked any winners. You can see the results with how awful my Beat the prick contest is going. Like 600th
At the end of the day I have invested $100 of my own money into betting. I also put in $20 in Bodog to play poker.Comment -

#19Originally posted by MexicanStallionI am a small bettor compared to others. I put my $100 into BetUs and worked that up into about $1500 in around 3 months off football. Then cashed out $500 and got that like a month later. I found SBR by looking up BetUs seeing if they payout or are supposed to be that slow. After bad reviews at the time, I pulled all the money out and put in under $1000 at Bookmaker which would be my main account.

#21In the past year, I'm guessing I've placed about a half million dollars in bets (including online casinos) and I am down about $10,000. Online casinos were my downfall. I've won up to $14,000 in casino betting in one night and also lost almost $20,000 at the same casino in one night (that was one bad fukin night). I've probably lost $20,000 in casinos and made about $10,000 in sports betting in the past year.
The Morrison NBA system made me about $25,000 last season and it is off to a great start this season as well. I made $10,000 or so with the MLB system this summer. But I lost most of that with college basketball and football. I am training myself to stay away from non-system betting, but I am still a degenerate and I've paid through the nose for my stupidity.
I am done with touts and I am done with online casinos (unless I'm really drunk and trying to recapture the old magic, but I limit myself to just a couple hundred dollars on minor books like BetPhoenix). In general, I am moving away from higher-stakes gambling altogether, at least for a while. The stress is too much. After taking a break, I hope to come back to it with more discipline than I have had in the past.
But what really makes me ill is the whole mess with overseas internet gambling. As an American, it's just a nightmare to deal with all of the illegal bullshit. Managing the transfers and reloads just sucks the fun right out of it. After my kids are grown, I will either move to Vegas or online gambling will be legal in the States. Not that I want to become a pro, but I know this can be a fun and profitable hobby. But it just ain't worth the trouble with the current laws in the U.S.Comment -

#22I have been betting on Sports for 19 years and really have no clue how much I am down. I am down though. I go to Vegas on average 9 times a year but it has been 10 the last three years. I go to all the fights, I am a 52 minute plane ride there. I shoot craps when I am there and love to go skiing...I sometimes do well and other times lose.. I would say lifetime over all... sports betting probably down 30k... shooting craps down maybe 15-20k.. It is all about having fun and a good time for me, thankfully it is for pure entertainment for me and nothing more than that.המוסד

I started with about 250 points and 10 point payouts on September 1st. I had 10 posters place action with me when Ijustwant2bepaid was the first book here at SBR and had all the action. The rest is history and now I am over 10,000 points.Comment -

#27Originally posted by MexicanStallionTrue I can. I have plenty of gambling money, so that isn't a problem right now. Just pointing out that my picks have been terrible lately
I do bet with money and points. Just saying I have invested $100 of my own into gamling. SBR has supplied me the rest, which I am thankful for. I used to bet points with Rich Boy and Bigdog/Nickelicious. Rich Boy is done and Bigdog runs his own book now.

#28wow lyon you are literate. In my lifetime I'm actually down a couple hundred bucks.
Like I won a huge bet last weekend. Then this week I doubled my account and doubled it again, then lost one of them (Oddsmaker.com no big deal) by going all in a third time. But tonight I lost big. Just when I get rolling, I think I can just point at a team and it will win automatically. Then I lose, I realize Portland actually fit my system model to cover just as much as Memphis, but I took Memphis. If I looked at it long enough, I would have seen that Portland would cover tonight, in spite of the strikes against it. But, I just made my decision too quick and went with it. Because I've been winning. No I'm negative a few hudred bucks.
Overall, I win when I need to, then blow it off and after 20 years, I'm down a few hundred, like I said. But it's been a pretty good run. Just got carried away today.I really hate losing a large bet. Dammit.
