We get all the Buffalo stations in Toronto, always did and Irv's broadcasts were notorious, as they usually started something like this:

"Fire tonight in Cheektowaga destroys three homes" or
"Fire in Tonowanda leaves family homeless"

Buffalo was either burning down (in the summer) or getting snowed under (in winter). Buffalo gets 10X the amount of snow as Toronto and we are 85 miles away.
