A poster with the screen name of Josh Hamilton started a thread whereby he would run 25k into 100k. I read the thread regularly and found it very interesting. He seemed to be grinding along winning some and losing some. I didn't bet any of his picks of course (I don't bet anybody's picks but my own), but I followed along to see how well he was doing. Personally, I felt he was betting extremely large amounts of money for his stated bankroll, but that's fine, let's just see how he does.
I'm pretty new here and don't really know who is who or what is what, but I like to follow quite a few people to see how they are actually doing. Well Josh was doing OK I suppose, and then all of a sudden he goes off. I mean he really goes off. He was betting huge amounts of money to begin with (if you believe the amounts stated) and at the end he just blew a big wad.
So now he is quitting his "quest" to turn 25k into 100k, and instead he is SELLING HIS SERVICES TO ALL OF HIS LOYAL FOLLOWERS!!! Who didn't know this was coming?!
All of his loyal followers? The ones who lost all of their hard earned money following a guy with no track record and a line of bullshit a mile long. Who in their right mind would give this guy one thin dime when he hasn't proven anything other than the fact he is a stone cold loser?
And now he is moving to Vegas, lock stock and barrel, to make his fortune doing what he couldn't even do in two or three weeks posting on this board! But of course for pointing this out I'm what is called a "hater." Anyone who disagrees, points out contradictions or calls BS is a hater. I don't hate anything or anybody, but I have to tell you this really takes the cake.
The guy goes on and on about how great he is, but he hasn't proven a damn thing. And this is all on paper! It just kind of leads me to belive that he is probably a $20 to $50 bettor trying to pump himself up to look big. I mean anybody who bets $3000 on a game with a $100K BR is out of their ****ing mind. All it takes is one semi-bad run (oops, I guess that's exactly what happened) and you're down 20-30K.
For pointing all of this out I am labeled a "hater." I think "realist" is a better description.
And for those of you who are actually going to fork over money to this guy, I can tell you right now you'd be better off flying to Vegas and betting it all on black at the roulette wheel.
I don't even pretend to be a good handicapper. I get embarrassed when I post my picks in one of the free (points) contests--and lose.
Sports betting is one of the toughest rackets to beat that there is. Horse racing is another one. The lines are so good that you have to be one of the best of the best to overcome the vig. Some do--most don't.
I mean the gall of this guy charging for his picks after posting such a dismal and embarrassing performance. And to top it off the way he handles his "fall from grace" is by starting a "**** all haters" thead. This is just more evidence that he hasn't got what it takes to be successful in this business. I mean if you even dare to disagree or disparage then you are simply a stupid ****ing hater who has no goddamn business discussing the finer points of anything with one so anointed as Josh Hamilton.
And shame on any of you who fall into this trap of paying for his picks. You will all get exactly what you deserve.

so the guy loses his initial 25k in his quest to make 100k and he thinks that he is not only good enough to move to vegas and do this for a living, but he also thinks that people are going to buy his picks??? after he was here for a few weeks and dropped all that money???
