The problem is this. Obama does not have the pull to get anything done. Congress just ignores him. The Democratic Party ships his tail off all over the world to get him out of Washington. He is a very inexperienced man who really has no clue. He made a ton of promises as a candidate and now must answer to America. He must explain why he pushed a package that he said would save the country from mass unemployemnt, only to see mass unemployment. He must explain why he pushed for a bailout package to save GM, only to see GM go under. He must explain his foreign policy, which seems to be very close, if not identical, to GWB's foreign policy.
Then he must explain some of his personal actions as President. He must explain why he bowed to the Emperor of Japan, when it is clearly understood that the President of the United States bows to no one. He must explain a lot of his personal actions. This is what he signed up for when he decided to run for President. This is what the people get when they vote for such a man. This is what Republicans get when they fail to nominate a viable candidate to run against him. A note to the GOP. Obama is now very beatable. Now is the time to find a candidate that will appeal to the people. The Extreme Right Wing of the party can not try to overrun the entire party, or face what the Democrats are going to face in next year's elections. People have to start drifting to the center. After GW we all knew a democrat would take office. It didn't hurt that the man ran a brilliant campaign and got young people and blacks to vote in record numbers. I personally would have let those businesses fail or had the CEO's fired before I gave that money away, thats just a risk you take with business. He started his campaign in a recession, trillions in dept, but at lease the guy took action. Biden was suppose to help with all the problem you've stated. The problem is it's always lesser of 2 evils. Moving forward all top level political positions should be volunteer basis only, and maybe we can get somewhere. This of course will never happen, but regardless of who is elected Republican or Democrat it always comes down to the lobbyists and who helped whom get in. Then they have to appeal to this person's (groups) needs, and it contradicts from the truth time after time. These political wackos in power always got some damn lobbyist in their ear. I am with you that the right has gone too far on this. I don't understand these fools either. I was listening to Alan Colmes radio program last night on fox news radio which he is a Democrat and these Republicans were coming in on the program and saying some terrible things about Obama when he just got the Nobel Peace Prize yesterday and Alan was saying that these guys will not give him credit for anything. These Republicans were the same Republicans that did give Reagan 3 years to get the economy back on track in the 1980's when things were not good during then. This situation that are having right now is much worse than back then and they don't want to give him time to get things back on track just because he is a Democrat and he is a black person. They have such an agenda and vendetta to make sure that he does not do well and I do think that is not going to work. I want to see the country get back in the right direction and I know Obama wants to see that also. I do think he is going to win in the next few years by getting this economy back on track and he needs help from just about everyone to do it.

The problem is that politics has replaced common sense. The main goal of an elected official is to get reelected. Do not forget that. Do not think for one second that these people listen to their constituents unless the constituents happen to agree with their point of view. Then you will hear them flooding the airways with things like this: "Mr. Joe Blow of Who-Knows-Where California begs me to pass a health care bill. Mr. Blow states that he is too lazy to find a job, and cannot break his crack habit, so he need a government run health care program to help him when he O.D's." Reagan never spent 12 trillion dollars in 10 months. You have no idea what McCain would have done and if it would have been worse, so don't pretend that you have some kind of magical powers to see the future.

Obama made a good speech yesterday. Finally stopped apologizing to the world. I will give him credit when he deserves it. Unfortunately, there hasn't been much to praise him for.
