No 3 point shooting on the team, only made 3 in the first exhibition game and one of those was by a 7 footer messing around with a minute to play

GREAT interior defense along with long guys on the perimeter to shut down the opponents 3 point game

I do think this team will be a slightly above average free throw shooting team. But with the fact that this team will be overrated with inflated totals, I like the UNDER all year for this team.

I have a strong play on a side for the first game in 7 days, btw. Will release it next Friday.

Herman, easy call there bud! Cal's teams always suck kok on offense (especially early on). Add to that, the fact that UK is just now learning this "system". Cal coached teams usually play VERY GOOD defense compared to what people think. Look at Memphis defensive stats the past few years

I went 60% on Kentucky plays last year and also hit a +500 and +300 straight up but hey, some people like to bash people for no reason

The bottom line is yes guys I know the fukkin lines are not out, but if the lines are what I have them pegged at I am leaning a certain way and that is the under, especially early in the year. That said I could play the fukkin over in the first game if it is set too low.

Exactly who are all these people that you know who don't think Cal's teams play great defense? Everybody that I know who follows college basketball has always associated Cal/Memphis as being long athletic street thugs who give you fits to score against, but look like playground coached guys on offense. There defense is always the real deal, it's there offense minus Derrick Rose that has always sucked. I'm sure Vegas has a similar impression also. They were just about always ranked top 10 on Kenpom in defensive efficiency from what I remember under his scummy tenure. I also have lol'd hard since the day 6/1 to win the title came out for a bunch of freshmen led by a first year system instilled coach, returning nothing outside of Patrick Patterson. I took WVU at 20/1 (they were like the unluckiest team in all of basketball last year from being in the BE and key injuries), Cal 90/1, and Michigan 90/1 instead of garbage 6/1 on UK

I obviously understand that Rose was not the best scorer on the team that year, as CDR was really where the nutz was at on that team's offense, much like Brewer and Horford were vs Noah for Florida vs what the media likes to shove to people. But you can't exactly deny Rose's impact on their offense wasn't mainly do to his PG play+upperclassmen experience+weak conference. They went from 56th, to 29th, to 25th, to 4th in offensive efficiency in Rose's only year. So they basically improved year to year before he arrived, and maintained there offensive place for 2 years, and then Rose comes in and with his PG play propels them into top 5 in the country vs very good offenses in the likes of UNC and KU.

And I'll admit that Rodney Carney was a better scorer than Rose, even though Rose only got 1 season to prove himself, but outside of that I don't exactly see who you want to propel ahead of Rose. Without Derrick Rose that 08 Memphis team would have achieved the usual bow out before the final 4. His offensive efficiency rankings he resulted in kind of prove his worth vs what Darius Washington resulted in.

And agree that Cal is a shit coach. Only UK fans want to agree that they've struck gold in Cal. Wait until world wide wes does him in at a major U where shadiness gets caught. Lol also at preaching to your team that FT's are insignificant until you were one away from a national title. Enjoy UK
