#7holy shit, it's one of those hidden message videos from the 40s. it's actually a critique of america if you look closely at the first scenes.
right after the golfing dad
1: they are showing the large gap between the rich and the poor.
2: in the classroom, only showing TWO ethnic children in the classroom
3: the height of the construction worker gives it away. it's such a dangerous job, and he probably doesn't want to do it, but he HAS to, to get by.
4: freedom of speech, but not freedom to be heard apparently
5: freedom to own property and the next one with the police... can't find anything sarcastic about those.
6: jab that the justice system is corrupt, bias.
7: maybe that inmates are given free shelter and often enjoy better meals that the working class
8: to worship God in your own way (the image of the Church shows that it's OK as long as it's the Christian God)
i'm serious guys, the vid has got to be a critique of america. there were tons of hidden meaning cartoons back then.Comment -

#8I don't think it's a critique, it's another bit in the endless effort to scare the public and uphold the status quo.
It's funny how the capitalist investor turned red in shame and the commentator had to tell them it's ok. It's like back then people actually felt ashamed to exploit somebody's work.bird bird da bird's da wordComment -

#11there's no way i'm the only one who sees the messages here. i know it's supposed to be an anti-socialism thing, but the beginning really seems like a message about the faults of america. they probably snuck it in so as not to incur the wrath of the powers-that-be. it's like in ancient texts, there are always hidden messages becasue the scribes whose ideals deviated from the rulers, didnt want the rulers to see what they wrote and have them executed, so they wrote in hidden messages and riddles.Comment
