What the hell has happened to "super great actors " and gratifying movies ? 
My GOD,the old movies are so far ahead of these modern "junk" movies ,why "we",not me, pay good money to see them ,it's beyond explanation ?
We currently only have one great actor in America,Robert De Niro,and he's getting up there in age .
Now what's a senior citizen supposed to do when he has been corrupted in a good way by the "best" movies money could buy,watching movies from 25/50 years ago . You guessed it,rent the oldies .
You guys enjoy all that computer enhanced crap ?Wow !
Okay ,back to Spartacus, man what entertainment !
Three of the Super great actors of all-time ,and they are, Charles Laughton[maybe the best of the best],Lawrence Olivier, and our own,Kirk Douglas .[thank his Russian immigrants]
Beautiful eye candy in Jean Simmons,another fine actress, out of England of course.
Saw her in the Thorn Birds [83] and I almost fainted at how much she had deteriorated in looks in those 23 years since Spartacus. [many women age badly,more so than men it seems]
This movie is free on hulu.com in case you young bucks have a spare 3+ hours to be highly entertained ?
One more point for the starving seniors...today,it seems ,we either have eye candy actors that cannot act,or we have some average looking ones that can.
For example,Sandra Bullock[can act],Keanu Reeves,cannot,Jennifer Aniston,can, and that really ugly one that can act some,Sarah J.Parker .
You boys will never see a more powerful performance from an actor protraying a "tough sonofabitch", like Kirk Douglas !
He looked the part,damn he was physically fit, and acted the part.
