fishler, in a small way, we are similar.. i don't cut out all sorts of coupons and go to store specifically for that. i have no time for that. i gamble all day.... however................ i used to go through all the weekly flyers of all 5 major chains looking for this deal.. once a month i'd see it for 1.69$ each somewhere and then i'd run to that store and buy 60 of them and put em in my freezer and i am set for 5 weeks with always good food and quick food in my house...

i refused to ever pay 3.69$.. i never did and i never will.. even if i have to wait 3 months. i'm all about value.. why lay -180 when i can lay -135 on a game.

I had 1 about 5 years ago, and it was discussting. It was a chicken, potatoes, and a fudge brownie that stuck to the tray. It may have been the worst experience of my life.

i too once tried Tv Dinner's like 20 yrs ago, it really was bad.. that shitty apple pie dessert, the cold soggy frozen mashed potatoes and the meat that's hard as rock with cold gravy. it was very high in sodium and i felt shit right after.. tasted bad, too.

you boys should try what i try.. Lean Cuisine.. Absolutely delicious. Allow me to recommend the Veal Parmagiana and the Lasagna. both are great and they give you a big piece, for 1.69$. you know how much it costs to make a decent lasagna at home and the work and messiness involved? this is just as good, if not better than some Italians that make it. being brought up as an Italian with Italian food all the time, i can say this is not bad at all, and very low in calories and fat and for a great price.

TV Dinner?? What is this 1969? If you're referring to the blocks of frozen processed mystery meat in plastic trays covered with cardboard boxes that claim to be "microwave safe" then my answer is NEVER.

Too much SALT and "other" additives. So what if it takes me all of 20-30 minutes to whip up something fresh.

I'll cook with my own ingredients thank you.

It's probably really bad for you but if you don't mind hosing off your toilet with a bloody stool when you wake up, a bottle of vodka & Tyson's Any'tizers 'cordon bleu' bites at diiner time provides quite the otherworldly gastronomical experience

                                                    Try it!

Quite the contrary.............many varieties are fairly healthy, as frozen veggies are much better than canned.

Many have reduced sodium content, no trans fats, no preservatives, etc., etc,..........

Nicky, I had the grilled chicken and penne pasta LEAN CUISINE today for lunch.........OUTSTANDING!!!!!! In fact, I recommend this over the squash ravoli healthy choice.........and both contain quality ingredients and are relatively low in sodium.

Folks, try the LEAN CUISINE grilled chicken and penne pasta(with apple dessert) for a $2 bill or less and tell me it is not outstanding.

NICKY, I know you have had this one, right?

you boys should try what i try..
See my last post.........I can't believe more on this board do not try these.

If you're not in the mood for cooking and want a decent meal, splurge a little on a rotisserie chicken and a pack of dinner rolls and maybe some potato salad or baked beans in the deli cooler.
You actually come out a pretty good deal even if you're just feeding one or two people. They make great leftovers for lunch the next day.
