Who has the new windows 7 and what's the benefits ?

Abe, I believe that I heard that all Windows 7 is the Vista system with a patch? Vista so sub-par that they had to change the name completely to cover their mistake? XP and Safari still gets the job done for me!

vista sucks. I should have stuck with XP I am waiting it out with the windows 7 to see WTF the consensus is first before I spend.

Ekks ,I have Vista on both my computers .What are the downfalls at present for Vista for I have had some problems,but not computer savvy enough to know how serious they were ?

Vista is the worst. Sucks, I deleted it.

I am gonna wait till Google comes out with their operating system next year. There's gotta be something better than Windows.

I just ordered a new laptop , got it today

It has win7 on it. In fact I'm making this post on it , I will update how I like win7 later.

kept shutting down on me!! I bought a new laptop and it had Vista already installed. the basic Vista.

I loved the look of Vista and when it worked it was great. I had it deleted and upgraded to the best Vista system hoping for a better result (forgot the upgraded version name) and same thing kept happening. Shut down for no reason.

Cleaned it out and installed Windows XP. No problems since.

I know at least 5 others that it happened to. Maybe they fixed it but I ain't wasting anymore time on vista that is for certain.

You're right. I do some voice work from my home studio and needed audio software that was compatible with 7. My old software which worked fine with XP kept shutting down. SO I spent three hours trying different "free" programs with no success. Finally late last night I found a wave form program that worked. Or at least it did last night.

Opening Yahoo mail has been an adventure too with 7. The problem is 7 is so intent on "crime prevention" it stops you from doing the basics.

I hope that's a little better explanation.

I seem to be having the crime prevent issue with Vista as well .

I like the feature where you can work on 2 pages at once
