Does all the sponsoring come from the sportsbook sites advertising at the top of the page? That's it?

Because it's a pretty sweet deal for us to pay no money, just come on here and post, and accrue points that have an actual dollar value!

Anyway, I don't have the sharpest business mind, so someone please elucidate this for me.

A website can spend money on advertising to keep its forum fresh and new visitors coming or invest more in a unique product. We are confident if we keep this place fun and keep getting better the sites will do well and take care of itself. It's similar thinking with being the leading contest site. We want to give back to our users and keep the base strong. Our great posters are the root of this thing.

I have no idea about business models. But seems like this could be a way to circumvent deposits which could save the industry.

It's like when you were in kindergarden and the teachers gave stars to kids. Only difference is here you can gamble the points and have fun with it. I get sick when I lose points and party when I get more.

I think that's been attempted with phone cards and gold and even bibles. It's all a deposit in the end. SBRforum will never take the user's money or let them ante up. It's only going to be free points and prizes.

I sort of understand, Bill... but who is actually paying for the shirts and pizzas and TVs? Are the sportsbook sites paying, thus paying you guys at SBR Forum for the advertising you do?

Yes Capy. The site makes money from the traffic it sends. A free-play for example, that's from the sportsbook.

SBR is an affiliate for these sites. For example at Bookmaker an affiliate gets 25% of the losses for players that sign up under them.

The books want you to open an account so you might deposit there. If you win $50 in BTP. They hope once you see their site you will like it and deposit there. The sites put the contest prizes to attract new customers SBR uses the advertising money and affiliate bonuses to pay for point prizes. The free plays and cash bonuses are taken out of the affiliate bonus. The contests and points are sweet for us. But losing your cash at a site you sign up for through SBR is good for SBR.

Great idea and works for everyone as long as the points don't get abused.
