I can't imagine where would the country be if McCain was president and Palin the VP today. My guess is we would be fighting 3 wars, the world would hate us more than when Bush was president, the stock market would be at 6,000, the unemployment rate at 15%, GM, Ford and Chrysler wouldn't be making cars so everyone would have to drive a Honda..

The 3rd war would be at the iraq-pakistan imaginary border....Bomb! Bomb! Bomb! ............ Bomb Iran ! LOL !

Bush screws America over 8 years and the right wing nuts decide Obama has to meet the goals he set out while running for office in his 1st 10 months, while even Obama himself said change wouldn't be easy.

The TWO house seats won by DEMS yesterday were both GOP held seats prior to the election and had been for many many years.

If the right thinks winning of governorships in NJ and VA is a GOP victory...I'm happy for them but since I don't live there I could care less. The Democrats have gained two more seats in Congress (one in CA and the other from NY) and added to their majority; this will hopefully help to pass health care reform, financial regulations, education reform etc. etc. etc. and this does affect most in America.....in a positive way. Slap!

Three years ago the nation sent a message to George W. and the GOP. Next year's midterm will see more elephants taking over, and a few years after that some donkeys will get moved back in. It's like wiping your ass with a tire; the shit just never ends.

Pelosi dismisses Dem losses in Virginia and New Jersey

"From our perspective, we won last night," the California Democrat told reporters during a Wednesday photo op. "We had one race that we were engaged in, it was in northern New York, it was a race where a Republican has held the seat since the Civil War. And we won that seat. So, from our standpoint, no, a candidate was victorious who supports health care reform, and his remarks last night said this was a victory for health care reform and other initiatives for the American people."
"From our standpoint, we picked up votes last night," a cheerful Pelosi said, "one in California and one in New York."

                        WOW! What a spin.

It's much more the right-wing than the lefties who are the reason for the gambling restrictions in this country.

                                        Republicans draw from the middle.

I'm rather scared if people think the President has much impact on who people vote for governor in their state.

True, the GOP did mess up by dividing up votes in the NY District 23 elections. Dede would have easily won otherwise and that would have been some national momentum to carry on to 2010. Instead, they won 2 governorships in states I don't even live in.

                                                At least she has experience

Errrr, in 2012 Obama will have had 4 years of Executive Experience at the President level which supersedes Palin by quite a bit. Using the "experience" argument is just idiotic at this point, get your head out of 2008.
