    ABCIslands Invites The Steam??
Can this be true? When i was looking over their max limits for internet wagering there was a column for "Steam wagers". I kid you not. If this is not some kind of sick joke--these guys may be my new best friend.

Anybody have enough experience with these folks to report if they delay and collar? Or are they really saying "bring it on!!" Look forward to the reviews.

There part of the DPT Sports Group which also includes Jazz and looselines.

There customer service isn't the best in the world, but they are a rock solid book. They don't give out anything extortionately at all, but they won't cut professional gamblers down at all either. They have there limits posted for the steam players out there which I do find rather amusing, but at least they tell you where you stand right up front and don't pull any punches about it.

That is nice information to know, BigBoy. I left 5 Dimes because they gave me a delay and $50 limit. I was told by the manager Tony at 5 Dimes that:
"We don't like steam chasing on our reduced lines"
"We don't like steam chasing on our regular lines"

5 Dimes also leaves bad lines posted for a long amount of time (I have often seen 5-10 minutes, and as much as 30). Definitely an amateur operation that does not like a lot of action.

Sounds like ABC is worth a look!!!

It is true that Tony can't handle any significant action. I was pleased that Bill decided to change 5Dimes to a "recreational" book instead of a professional book.

There is nothing abt 5dimes operation that is professional. Strictly for low wager players and folks who couldn't find the right side of a line if it jumped up and bit them. I started to say he caters to grandmas--but I know of at least one grandma who was asked to leave by Tony because she won too much.

Thanks BBD for the info--ABC will be seeing me soon.

Well I've been playing predominantly at 5 Dimes since they started the reduced juice for hoops, and I've beaten some steam along the way for a lot more than "nickels and dimes". So far not a peep from Tony.

5 Dimes was fantastic years back when they had the Netwriter software...

You are correct on this one Slash. However, I do like ABCIslands bases lines better than I do Jazz's though.

In case anyone cares to compare limits heres both these fine books limits:

                    Cashier's check for Jazz:
"Fees are $25 per check (up to $5,000 each) + $50 Fed Ex charge."

Does this mean $75 for each FedEx check? or $25 for regular mail check and $50 if request Fedex?

Thats the drawback playing at both ABCIslands and Jazz, as well as looselines freebie. All 3 of those books charge the same amounts for checks.

I hope not, LT. But I know for a fact (4 friends in the last 6months), if you are playing say 3-5k per day and are a regular winner--you will be shut down. Small time book. I would rather pay the fees on withdrawals at ABC than listen to a bookmaker whine. It's a little like Dracula opining that the blood he's sucking out of you is a little too iron rich.

Just drink, blood sucker, and stop complaining.

Well Jazz has big bettors for the most part so the fees are trivial to them, it all really depends on what you bet. I would think very small players do not need to play there.

These guys have been booking since Moby Dick was a minnow. The fees are a bit high. I'd just wait until I had a $4999 withdraw and then take the payout + $75 fee.

Both ABCislands and Jazz have pro bettors coach. However looselines isn't exactly a pro type shop IMO.

ABC is the recreational bettor part of the DTP group. Or at least it used to be.
