The reason ppl lost half their money in the last year or so is bc its fukin gambling, if the economy goes through the roof of course your stocks will rise just like if the economy sinks your stocks will plummet, but no one can predict when the economy will rise or plummet and to what level, you could sell short at the bottom of the recession and lose all your cash or you could buy thinkin the economy's turning around only to find out we're headed for Great Depression 2
The only ppl who are consistently making money in the stock market are the online brokerages, stockbrokers, etc who charge you an arm and a leg just to let you place your clueless bet on which stock is gonna go up or down, hell even the huge insider trading brokerages are all getting bailed out yet joe blow lookin at the stock prices while takin his morning dump is gonna corner the market yea ok
