Doing my own thing. Staying under 1000 calories a day. Three Lean Cuisines and a couple of apples a day. Amazing how many variations of bland Lean Cuisine can market.

Wal, under 1000 calories isn't really healthy. No offense, but it's the kind of mistake that people make when they diet. They try to go too hard and end up cheating and hating it so much that they regress.

Just eat a fruit yogurt (preferably Dannon - no HFCS) and an organic breakfast bar in the morning. Have a snack of mixed nuts and 1 piece of fruit mid-morning. Eat a lean cuisine/health choice for lunch. Snack again mid afternoon of nuts and fruit. Drink a couple V8's through the day. Eat a baked chicken breast or fish filet with 2 sides of steamed/boiled veggies for dinner. You can spice the fish or chicken with whatever you want - bbq sauce, lemon butter... whatever. You don't have to be miserable to eat healthy.

That diet will be around 1500 calories and is very healthy. Add in 30 minutes of exercise and you will be shedding pounds before you know it. It doesn't have to be anything strenuous either. Simply walking will do. You will be burning more calories during the day than you consume and eating a balanced diet.

              Good luck.

wal that is funny. I hope that you do great on your diet. Just hang in there. I know you will run into some hard days. I know my mom does that at times. Just eat right and don't under eat. That could hurt you worse.

This year I want to go to the bash because things have been better this year than last year. I hope that I get to see you next year. This year I could not go because I had dental surgery done during that time.

Jello...........you are absolutely correct sir. I am aware of the risk and only plan on the hardcore approach to get some initial results. After a couple of weeks I plan on melloing it out a little working my way up to the 1500 range.

tblues.......we'll kick this biatch. I'll always be a big guy just from a body type perspective just gonn make sure it's less big. It's actually not that difficult the main thing is just doing it and staying away from good southern fried cooking and seasoning.

Instead of changing the diet change the portions.

wal I hope you do it and then we will see you at the bash feeling better. The key thing is to stay with it no matter what.

pavy.....to be honest everyone I know eats more than I do. Now I eat all worng and that is on me. I do have a slow metabolism and unlike some who think that's an excuse it's not I assure you. That's not a crutch though and this is my fault. Hell since football season has started I haven't done squat. I normally play golf 4 times a week and walk at least one of those rounds and for the past 3 months notta.

Portions aren't really the problem except Doritos. I can't lie, if I open a bag of Dorito's it's an empty bag by games end. Outside of that though it's not a portion thing though. It's fatty foods high in saturated fats, it's late night dinners and doing nothing afterwards.

It's easy to recognize the problems and I have known what they were for a long while now. Just need to want the change and then I can make it happen. Well I want now. Need to get laid again before social security sets in.
