Will a sportsbook ban you for consistently betting both sides?
Let's use NBA totals as an example. If I am consistently betting the under at a line's zenith, then taking the over once it has bottomed out at least 3 points later, will a sportsbook ban me? Should I avoid doing this at the same book?

A true market maker shouldn't care since you are buying what they are selling. A Pinnacle or Bookmaker wouldn't. The reality is some books looking for gamblers might see that you are paying attention to the market vs. betting your local team. They could decide to limit or not to service you...especially if you took a bonus or promo then betting both.

      What book?

As bill said, Pinny and Bookmaker won't care. Carib will treat you like a criminal.

I'm not asking about any book in particular. Just wondering if this strategy would become an issue at your typical sportsbook. I'm not betting nearly enough to make anybody's radar currently. If I have success and start upping my units, I will probably spread my money around to more books for several reasons anyway.

        Thanks for the responses.

My opinion is ..they probably would kill for your business !
Books really don't care if you're Ben Franklin .
They figure they will beat your brains out either today or many of those tomorrows that will come .
The sad news is.... they are usually right !

I would use different books. I was specifically told by one book, just at the start of this NFL season, that betting both sides would not be tolerated. Wille Bees response was spot on though.

                    Hogwash !
Well, to a certain degree anyway .
Has your Bookie cleaned your plow ?
That's really all that matters, well maybe when the economy was better a few years ago, they might have watched you ?
Do you see all of the so-called "free" money being tossed your way ,that's the sign of the times !
The Book's want it all today...all of your action !
