I swear you could put a monkey in there and baseball teams would come out the same, probably a little better. Just let the players have a democracy and do what they know is the right thing to do.

I have seen Joe Girardi make possibly more mistakes than any baseball manager I have ever seen. The decision tonight to wait until the 9th to put Rivera on the mound is the tip of the iceberg.

Girardi will win a ring and will have absolutely no influence in his team winning. In fact they would be better off if he wasn't there.

Take Bobby Cox. The guy won all those divisions and the WS because he had the best pitching rotation of all time. They talk about how great a manager he is but he does absolutely nothing.

Take Charlie Manuel. He just lost the world series by not pitching Cliff Lee in a game they absolutely had to win. They said that Cliff Lee had never pitched on 3 days rest well damn it, they pay him millions lets make this his first time, just to try to win the world series, what do you say Charlie???? No? Nice job prick, you just lost the world series on the 1 decision you had to make today.

Didnt Torre have a bigger payroll in the past and win nothing. If you havent seen how Girardi has managed to motivate guys like A-rod and MAtsui to get hits they havent been getting for years then baseball isnt your sport. Girardi is an excellent manager. He has managed his bullpen and starters perfectly up to now with what little he has. Man for crying out loud he has only 3 pitchers one of who has always choked until this year. I, for one, am not questioning Girardi's ability as a manager. My problem with NY is that they field the best team MONEY can buy. If they don't when this series handily, then THEY have failed. MLB has been, and will be, a waste of time until there is a balance in the level of competition. Selig is a bum.

Right so all the sudden arod woke up under Girardi but couldnt wake up under torre for years. Go read Torre's book and learn something. Him and A-rod had issues from day one. Girard has found ways to have this team ready for the games all the time. I have followed the yankees closer than most.You dont be in aslump at the wrong time very year for 5 years. Managing is about teaching, conversing and association. Go and check Matsui and Arods playoff stats under Torre.
