that depends on your needs.
if you don't mind fees, generally speaking, western union or moneygram money transfer are the fastest, easiest, safest way. the money is in your hand - no clearing time for checks, no risk that the check won't cash. problem is that many books are now limiting options for these methods or aren't even offering them.
checks generally aren't that expensive, but there are downsides to them. if it's not sent via fedex it'll take forever to arrive - you don't want thtat. depending on your bank's policies, it could take up to 2 weeks to clear. aside from that, there is a post on here about sportsbook checks bouncing, as a processor most likely had a bank account closed for obvious reasons. books use a 3rd party to process these checks, and you just never know when that 3rd party will go out of business and screw everyone (sort of like neteller), and you also never know when they will have a problem with an exisiting bank account used to draw on checks.
easiest solution? in my opinion, heritage sports does moneygram payouts - max 1500 per day, fees about 65. tough to pay that much in fees - but it's safe, and in todays gaming environment, it may be worth it.

small players=western union
medium players=checks/credit/cash
big players=bank wires, credit/cash
