Kickoff for many games is less then 4 hours away and yet we have many top tier books taking no more then $500 a game.

When I worked at the Sands, are limits were $5,000(10,000 NFL) when I opened shop at 5am(8am ET) on Saturday........and i would usually extend someone 2,000-3,000 on a particular game if they asked.

I do understand though that offshore is whole different animal.

Plus, overall, offshore still remains 3-1 over Vegas in terms of sportsbetting.

Depends what you consider better. I never have to worry about getting paid. I don't need to steam chase since I model games so slow moving numbers aren't extremely important to me. The only thing offshore has going for it is speed, and that's really not something people need to be too concerned with unless they're dealing with million dollar bankrolls. As far as sides and totals, Vegas is probably better than offshore. However, offshore gives many more options for props, futures, exotics, and derivatives.

This is why you shouldn't bet on sharp line movements 24 hrs before the game starts.

What books are you talking about?

PInny and Cris both were taking 10k on every game on the board at that time.
