    Natural Gas fireplaces
Few questions for anyone that knows.

1st......how expensive are they to run? If I run it a few hours a night, is that going to jack up a lot on the bills? I dont know its BTU per hour rating, so just a general idea would be cool

2nd....do I have to open it so that the chimney is open? Doesn't the gas burn off, so is it really necessary to open it up?

I'm thinking any time you have a question about any process which involves either life-giving oxygen (or lack thereof) or a heavier-than-air explosive gas, it would be appropriate to consult a professional... which would require the yellow pages, not SBR.

I always opened the chimney vent when I operated mine(as recommended).........mine was in a two-way fireplace.

              Loved it.

Lock in a rate for a year. It will save you a bunch. For a house it's expensive if you can't afford it.
