ESPN suspends Bob Griese......would you like mild or hot sauce with that TACO Bob?

ESPN broadcaster Bob Griese has been suspended one week for a remark he made about NASCAR driver Juan Pablo Montoya.

ESPN spokesman Josh Krulewitz says Griese will not be working a game this week.

Krulewitz says ESPN has spoken to Griese and "he understands the comment was inappropriate."

During ESPN's broadcast of the Minnesota-Ohio State game Saturday, a graphic was shown listing the top five drivers in NASCAR's points race. Fellow analyst Chris Spielman asked where was Montoya, who is Colombian.

Griese replied he was "out having a taco."

He has twice apologized on air for the remark.

Montoya is declining to comment on Griese's suspension. He brushed off the remark Sunday, and said he'd never heard of Griese.

No athlete shall be insulted in anyway, shape, or form for any indications he may like tacos, being that it may indicate somewhere he may be eating tacos, or making tacos.

This includes any athlete assoiciated in any sport such as, but not limited to gardening, chess, spelling bee, Nascar, and Fantasy football.

Hopefully ESPN will suspend all their announcers and then they will have to focus on actually showing the game instead of some dipshit getting a hamburger or dressing up in a mascot costume.

And as far as who is more well-known, Montoya or Griese: Worldwide it is Montoya and it is not even close due to his F1 career. Just in America it is probably Griese but depends on age bracket, likely the older you get the more would no Griese, the younger Montoya.

Got to agree with JJ on this, as well as anyone else that has pointed out the PC police getting up in arms. Even Tiger laughed several years ago when Fuzzy Zoeller made his 'fried chicken' comment. Too many other people that don't have a life simply trying to live through some comment made by others. JJ gives me shit all the time about being a Texas hick, and I give it back to him about being a Jersey Italian.
