Iowa Coach Kirk Ferentz said running back Adam Robinson and guard Dace Richardson are lost for the rest of the regular season Tuesday on the Big Ten Coaches Teleconference.
“We’re not doing well,” Ferentz said of his team’s health following the 15-13 win at Michigan State. “This is a major loss. We’ve lost Dace Richardson and Adam Robinson for the rest of the regular season.
“There’s a chance we could get them back at the end, but a running back with a bad ankle … it’s similar to what Tony (Moeaki) had.”
Moeaki missed three games this season with a high ankle sprain. Robinson left the game Saturday on crutches with a left ankle injury. Richardson suffered a broken left leg early in the game.
Robinson rushed for a career-best 109 yards against Michigan State. Richardson had started all eight games at various positions on the offensive line.
