    facemask penalties
has anyone ever been injured by a facemask grabbed? why not let there be facemasks for everyone! or at least lesson it. 15 yards is way too harsh.

How would you like it done to you as you're running full speed?

I say its part of football, as long as its non intentional. Same thing with horse collars...

        Bad rules.

Umm probably because it could break your neck? Just taking a guess but that seems logical to me

they don't give the 5 yard "less" intentional face mask penalty anymore? are they all automatically 15?

I remember a gruesome one 5 years back with a long haired blonde guy from the rams, twisting a bengals? runner's neck around almost backwards..... if you just LET it go, then more would do it....because it would be the easiest way for a 175 lb dback to get a 250 rb or 275 lb TE down in the open field...

so to all the sudden allow that???????

someone would get hurt, because who WOULDN'T go for the face mask first......
