Anybody else had the H1N1 vaccine yet? Took the kids to have it done and I had it as well..Good news, nothing bad has happened to any of us.
Get it if you can and stop the spread of this shit!
Don't believe all the hype about side effects. You only hear about the rare cases where things go wrong. Talked to some doctors and nurses and they all recommended it.

Im really on the fence about this vaccine though. I want to protect my kids from H1N1 but since they rushed this sh*t out it really makes you think. Google the swine flu from the 70's and there is some stuff about side effects from it then.

I hear ya Ramrod, its the fear of the unknown. But if you don't do anything and something does happen to them, then how will you feel? That was what ultimately made us have it done. I was more worried about the kids than us getting it. I would like to think that our medicine has advanced from the 70's.

I saw that too, really sad and scary. Risks are involved in everything you do, I guess everybody needs to educate themselves and decide whether the risks outweigh the benefits of the vaccine.

actually I was watching this one expert who said the reason there are shortages of the vaccine is because they are still making it from eggs, like they have been doing for the last 70 years. Basically, when your grandma was getting the flu shot. It's time consuming and takes 6 months.

The guy was saying that they actually have a flu shot ready which will replace the old flu shot. This shot will only have to be taken once and will be good for life. It kills ever flu strain. The problem is the cost to the government.

Had the H1N1 half of last week and wouldn't have taken the flu shot even if I didn't get the sickness. Mercury isn't the best thing for the body and after watching some of the reports on it (especially that the creators refused to take it) and some of the stuff about it from the last time it hit in '76. I refused the antibiotics offered for it as well....felt like a zombie for 3-4 days and the body ached like a sumbitch but never broke a fever.

Haven't had a flu shot in well over 10 years and no need to start now.
