What do bettors think of the HRTV&TVG network hosts personalities?

Anyone here ever been around died in the wool horse people at the track or watch the broadcasts of HRTV and TVG racing on t.v.?

I think a mandatory prerequisite for these people is that they check their personality and sense of humor at the door when entering the track backstretch or t.v.studio.

The problem with horse racing gaining interest is that there really are no personalities with personalities in the sport.Either they can't talk English or are mute idiot savants or they are blue blood snobs.There is no in between in horse racing where they hit a nerve with average people these days.

I have heard all the language for years around tracks and know all the slang but it pains people watching racing broadcasts to keep hearing the term much the best 20 times an hour.

The women t.v.hosts make the nurse giving the enema in the movie The Right Stuff look like a livewire personality compared to them.

I swear people like Dave Johnson,Charlsea Cantey and Kris Katulak are robots.Talk about plastic banana phoney bologna insincere game show host personalities.

I have many problems with TVG, but most is the way they present the races. I'm so sick of these announcers' Pick 4 and Pick 6 tickets. I'm telling you, if you're betting these guys tickets you'd be homeless. They are terrible and they never, ever score on those tickets. They usually are up in flames after the opening leg.

I'd prefer they focus on races they really like, as opposed to trying to convince me the opener at Bay Meadows is a race worth betting. It isn't.

The other thing they suck at is photo finishes and inquiries. If you've got a photo finish for anything other than win, they don't show the result for like 10 minutes. Also terrible announcing when there is an inquiry.

I don't get HRTV, so can't comment on them, although most of the reviews have been bad.

These guys are all trying to get parts in sitcoms, plays, radio, tv or comedy gigs. It is not about the racing but it is about them. Most are spoiled rich kids that could not get any other job and used their parents to get jobs.

I watch neither and no need to ath them with high speed internet. All you need to do is watch the race and a pc is very good for that even with a delay of a minute.

I like watching the live track feeds which are only availbale on the net.
