As some of you know, I moved to Vegas a couple of months ago. in that time I have visited a couple of different casinos on and off the strip. The vibe of the casinos off the strip are definately different than the vibe of the ones on it. One casino I frequent regularly off the strip is the Alliante Casino. Here is a quick take.
The casino is not as large as the strip casinos, but has all the anemities and is EXTREMELY clean.
If you are looking for a casino not as loud and has a "family atmosphere", this casino has that. It holds a 16 screen movie theater, a dozen different fast food spots, a TGIFridays as well as a 4 star steak house and seafood joint.
EVERY girl that works there has large mammaries.
The sportsbook is well run and has at least 30 large screen to watch the games on. The chairs (which are many of them) are leather and the drinks come at a decent rate during games.
NOW A COUPLE OF DOWNSIDES
The comp system is going through a major overhaul, so figuring out what you have comp wise can get tricky, especially if you play table games, sports, horses, and slots. There isnt one encompassing comp system yet.
A couple of the table dealers are WAY RUDE. I swear there are a couple that if I see them working, I walk the other way.
It is in the suburbs, so if you are looking to party from one casino to another, this is not the place to go.
All in all I feel that if you are coming into town for a weekend and you have children and want to give the wife/husband the perception that gambling and drinking are not your sole reasons to come to vegas, the Alliante is a good place to feed those perceptions. They call it the place locals play, and now I see why.
