If you go to the doctor they will say is the fu**** swine flu and shot a vaccine on you. Take some Bayer aspirine, is way better then Alive or Tylenol.
Take a cold shower too. If doesn't go away in few hours go to ER and see a doctor.
DON'T take an ID with you, give them a fake name and address and you will get treatment for free. Go dress in pijama with a friend acting like the driver and looking sincere say "oh now, my wallet is my jeans". Also have in mind a fake friend name and phone number for when they ask you for an emergency contact..
You MUST see a doctor if you don't get better in the next few hours , could be something serious.

Another option is to buy some antibiotics for some mexican store...no prescription need it.

All is better now...I think I hit like 102.4 or 102.6 and then things got better... I watched TIVO'd shows all day.

I crank the heat and get under some heavy blankets anytime I get a fever. I also drink warm water with some chicken bouillon, chili hot sauce, and cayenne pepper. Torture myself for a day and usually better after that...had the swine flu and never broke a fever but still did the same.

Seriously, back in the teen years, my sister was admitted to the hospital with a kidney infection. She ran high temps. When they would start to spike, a nurse would come in, pull the blankets off of her, turn the AC on and give her ice chips and ice cream to cool off the body. That just really made an impression on me.
