Because bettors think both teams have no real ability to score points? They spect a defensive battle?

I would think that pub is (rightly) figuring both teams to be ANGRY cuz they both have been eliminated from every single thing that "matters" so maybe Joe Q. spects a clsoe hard fought game?

I am personally staying away form the game because I feel like the spread is to big.

and the conference too brutal loss wise in such large spreads.....I have the numbers somewhere, I take things present day though so they are here bit not.....

I like Auburn to win SU, IMO both teams are evenly matched
only advantage LSU has is home field. I'll take the dog at + money
I also have Ark winning SU.

Ark has no chance and will go down in flames as they won't be able to put the screw job from last week behind them. Also Auburn showed they have packed it in for the season losing big to Kentucky last week. Neither team is disciplined or well coached.

This game baffles me too. Even though LSU has struggled on offense this yr, coming off a bye and against Auburn's D, that should change. I have to confidence in Auburn after they laid down the past two weeks.

I also have LSU in several combinations today, including teasers and ML parlays. Auburn sucks this year. They played terrible at Arkansas and lost. Then they follow that up with a home loss to Kentucky, scoring 0 points in the 2nd half. I think LSU -7 or better is a good line, buy a half point if you have to.

Their only loss was to #1 Florida who they held to 13 points. No other team has given up less than 20 to them. LSU is fully rested coming off a bye week. They have been preparing for Auburn for almost 2 weeks. They're playing at home on Saturday night, a situation they have done well in historically. Maybe they don't cover the 7, but LSU ML and teasers are a great play.

You might want to think about taking Ole Miss against them next week.

Sam, to answer the original question, I think people were fooled by Auburn's early success against subpar teams. Right now the Tigers are looking at a 6-6 season. Their remaining games are Ole Miss, Georgia, Furman, and Bama.
