    How much do you bet?
    When I have the money in my account I'll bet pretty big. My biggest bet has only been around $750-$800. But if I have like $500 in my account I'll bet up to $200. I like putting big money on games...at least for me its big I'm only 19. I know a lot of ppl would be like why would you ever bet almost half your bankroll, but if i see something I really like I'll push the envelope. So anyways I'd like to know who bets the big money here and how much?

    Basketball 1-2% of bankroll.
    Football 2-3% of bankroll.

      I don't get off on sharing my bet size or getting into dick measuring contests, but I'd be willing to bet that Vanzack and myself are the two largest punters on this board. I would be surprised, however, if bet size correlates to much in aggregate. I have a buddy who'll spread mid six figures on the most meaningless of games that I'm certain researches less than the average $100 better on here. There are some small fries on here who truly know their left from right and I'd take against the best of them.

        well.. if you only have 500 in your account i would have to think your strategy is flawed.. however i too am an agressive player and choose to play about 10% of my bankroll a game..i start each season with about 20k worth of bankroll and play 2dimes a game.. if my bankroll grows so do my average play.. but not at the same rate.. if i get to 100k ill slow down to about 5%

          This new law has severely dented my ability to play and play big. I took about two months off from January to March, and have just come back. I had some bones to pick with Jay Cohen during the WSEX scandal and have since not given WSEX and subsequently Matchbook any business, but it looks like I simply cannot afford not to sign up with Matchbook for bases as BetJam just has too low of limits. Cheers....

            I like that system a lot Mavs in that one game won't severely cripple you, but you are playing aggressive enough to truly make it worth your while should you have a decent season. GL...

              yeah I would have to say also has my bankroll increases so do my wagers. Lets say i got to 5k tho i would never do anything bigger then 1k. Sopposbly JJ had like 25k down on the florida game...something I highly doubt.

                $ amounts are irrelevant.

                Anyone betting 10% or more of their bankroll on a single game has a risk tolerance well past anything that I'd ever be comfortable with.

                A good season (say 55%) will make you a very good return on your money at 2% per play with much less risk of going broke.

                  $200/game at 19 is asking for trouble. Looks to me as though you like the thrill instead of just trying to win. At your age you should be learning and not trying to hit big for a high.

                  You aren't going to have an overall winning year the way you bet, so minimize the losses and learn some lessons.

                  As far as % of bankroll that's tough to say because I'm a business owner that can supplement the bankroll if needed.

                    Well I try to find the games I like to bet the best. When I get to a good number i settle down a little. I just try and get some breathing room.

                      I bet usually from $50 to $25,000 depending on bankroll. I am an all in type player and like the action.
