As you may have noticed, the forum was offline for a period. We identified a security incident to Sportsbook Review Forum and took the site offline as a containment step while we investigated.

So today the Caps place Nylander to assignment in AHL Grand Rapids. The Griffens are a Red Wings affiliate. How does that happen? Why didn't he go to NY's AHL team? What am I missing here?

They must have struck a deal with the team. The AP article mentions that the Caps didn't want Nylander to take ice time away from their prospects.
