Terrible umpire call

Lot's of questionable calls in this game already. Not to mention the changing strike zone.

I like how McCarver ripped the 3rd base ump for pointing out that at no time from the ball being in the air to it being fielded were his eyes looking at the bag or base runner. From the clear angle shown it's not even possible his peripheral vision could have allowed him to make such a call.

A clear make-up call for the previous mistake the umps made not calling a runner out in that inning.

ive been an umpire for 11 years now and he could definatly see, its called peripherals, unfortunately he saw it incorrectly. Usually in that situation you only call him out when it is blatant, not when its close like in that case.

Yes it's payback for calling a double which was 1 foot fair a foul ball. And a double play that straddled the 2nd base safe and a safe runner at 1st base out when the foot was off the bag.

The solution of course would be cease the bullshit calls, but it's still bullshit when it's blatantly wrong no matter the side involved.

It was a make up call

Swisher was out at 2nd base on pick off play

So ump called him out at 3rd to make up for the previous fuk up

I umpired as well JG is right he most likely just made a bad CLOSE call but thought he saw what he called it was very close
