I know this is probably the most politically incorect post I ever posted but I just had to say this because no one is saying it.See no evil,speak no evil and hear no evil is the norm with all these cases where athletes from poor backgrounds that behave badly never get press coverage when something bad happens to them.I'm sorry for him and his family that it ended in murder.The media and his coach are making him out to be another Obama where he is beyond sainthood.The guy is fathering a kid and didn't marry the mother.Was he delivering pizzas to make money the night he was murderd to support his girlfriend and child??No,he was out with his buddies having a good time.

I sound hideous here like I'm some monster but I have 4 junior colleges near where I live in northern Minnesota and they all go after inner city Miami kids to recruit for sports.Most are treated like kings here by the college and local government agencies that see to their every need.In return they usually bring their trroubled pasts with them.The vast majority have multiple kids out of wedlock while here leaving the tax payer here to pull up the slack.Countless numbers have gone back home and also were murdered.Just the day before Jasper Howard was killed they did a story in the newspaper here how an ex jock from 2004-2006 went back home and was killed in a convenience store dispute.

I wouldn't even comment on this Jasper Howard case except for the fact that the media and academia has gone overboard stressing that this guy was absolutely a saint.

We just had Rush Limbaugh last week treated like scum by the sportswriting media and the NFL and it's players and union and he did nothing wrong.

I'd say Steve McNair's death - betraying his wife and neglecting his children to pursue relationships with numerous other women - would serve as a better example, but Howard, from what I've read and seen, merits no such criticism. To chastise someone for having a kid out of wedlock is ridiculous.

I'm not really liking what I've seen from the UCONN coach speaking about this . Something about his phrasing and attitude. Seems to have a big ego. I can't put my finger on it, but the guy is annoying me.

It just seemed like he made a couple comments that revolved around HIM and what HE's had to do. He said something about how HE had to inform the team and that this was something HE hopes HE never has to do. It wasn't so much what he said, just the way he said it that stuck out for me. I just heard a bunch of "I....I....I" out of him where it didn't necessarily seem appropriate. This isn't about you dude.
