Get the respect. Both undefeated, but many still think it's just a fluke. These teams really are good.

Denver will start getting a lot more respect, after their big prime time win.

Iowa is okay , Denver is really good with a young coach that the players really seem to like to play for.

Because the strengths of both teams is their defense.
It can probably be said that Iowa being ranked 9th in the coaches poll and 8th in AP is a tad disrespectful considering that their computor average has them at #3, but they are certainly more respected then they were 3 weeks ago.
As I've stated for over two weeks now, USC at #4 in the polls is a complete joke, and the computor for one agrees with me and has them ranked 11th, and thank goodness, as this made them a notch below Iowa in the BCS standings, as well they should be AT THIS TIME.
Everyone wants to bash the six computor "AVERAGES" used in the BCS system, but I feel at this time they have done a much better job then the HARRIS and COACHES poll in evaluating the teams thus far in the season.

Iowa is for real and Denver is for real. I just think no one expected them to do this year either one of them. If Iowa keeps winning they should be up there to challenge for the national title. Just just need Texas to lose a game that is all. I don't see USC winning the rest of their games either. I am with Fishhead on this that I am glad the computers have Iowa ranked higher than USC.

If USC wins out and Iowa losses one game, they will probably meet in the Rose Bowl, a few days before the title game is played at the same venue.

At least, because USC would be a well deserved #3 or #4 team in the nation by that time and have had played great ball from this point on to do such, whereas Iowa would have taken a loss at MSU or OSU..........or who knows, even a lesser team like Minnesota or Northwestern.
If fact, having stated the above, USC would open no less then -9.5 if they were to meet in a BCS game, unless somehow Iowa were not to play in the title game as an undefeated team and the teams met as two top five teams...........then I would have to believe Iowa would be no more than a -7.5 point underdog.

TCU is the one team that's getting shoved down in the rankings.

If iowa gets job'd by the BCS then the BCS will be gone. Because it will basically lead to a big ten succession from the BCS. Believe it or not that's actually bad for the other conferences... and would screw shit up royally....
but first iowa has to win out...which is much harder...

I agree!
They may be much better then what people are giving them credit for.
Hell, Houston recieved 3x the media attention when they were undefeated and here is TCU undefeated this late in the season and they get what amounts to zilch.
One can clearly see by watching their games that they have a hard hitting defense and terriffic speed at the skill positions.
At this point, I would take my chances with them SU in a game vs. BOISE STATE.

Interesting point.
Mountain West would bail, no matter what happened, this year, because of what happened to Utah, twice.
Conference USA would mutiny, if Cincy runs the table
WAC would secede if Boise St. runs the table
Those 4 conferences should mutiny and have their own playoff.
Hell the MAC would even follow, knowing they get no chance in the BCS, with all the NFL talent they've produced.
Good point, would love to see a mutiny.

I think Denver will go deep into the playoffs. They ARe basically playing with house money now. Strong Defense, good running game, Marshall, sheftler and orton are gelling with the short and long ball.

Denver's fine.
Looking at first round bye.
Schedule entails 2 more w/ KC, host Oakland and San Diego, and @ Washington.
That's 11 wins, right there.
Hawkeyes got a scrapy Sparty team in East Lansing, Saturday. Hawkeye backers still hold your breath.
@ Ohio State, Nov 14th.
However, very possible Iowa runs table, they get better, by the week.

They don't get any respect because the Big Ten sucks and has sucked for years while the AFC West is the Big Ten of the NFL! Denver is fun to watch atleast.....obviously great chemistry on the team between young guys and the vets! I don't think Denver misses all those stupid Cutler throws into coverage!

go hawkeyes! I never liked orton either but he looked real good last night. Eddie Royal has been pretty bad this year, but he picked the last 2 weeks to show up.

Yeah it doesn't matter Iowa after this week is going to drop in the rankings after they lose to Michigan St.
If it seems to good to be true it usually is!!
