Best way to sell a handgun? (legally of course)
I bought a Glock from a cop who was switching weapons many years ago and I never really used it (took it the range once) so I'm looking to get rid of it... I figured if I take it to a pawn shop or gun store I'm not going get close to its real value... Anyone have any suggestions on how to sell it without too much hassle and not get ripped off on the price?

If it came from a cop its probably a Glock model 19 or model 22? Hell, here in FL you can just run an ad in the paper and sell it to an individual. Most states you can just do a person to person sale with no paper work legally. Most used Glocks will bring about $300-350, pawn shop might give you $150.

Go to www.glocktalk.com and you can see what used models go for.

Double-check your state's laws and take it to a gun show. Many states require no documentation for person-to-person sales, and you will definitely get a better price than a pawn shop.

Although if you're in Vegas you could take it to the Gold and Silver Pawn Shop on Las Vegas Boulevard, then maybe you'll end up on that Pawn Stars show on the History Channel.
