My Day in the Dean’s Office
It started out as any normal day would. Go to work make sure everything is running itself and then get into what the City pays me for that they don’t realize they are paying me for. That being SBR naturally. I spent the initial portion of my day narrowing down the card for the weekend and getting it posted. Then I decided to put in motion my plan for JJ. I had been setting it up for a couple of weeks, dropping a hint here a suggestion there all to get to today. What the joke was and how far it was to go isn’t important now. It might have been genius or a colossal failure but we’ll never know now. No we’ll never know because we have rules that I violated while laying the groundwork for my ultimate plan. I was merely trying to rogue a few points out of JJ with providing winning football selections as my reward he would give me points. Seems this violated the points rule considered Touting for Points clause. This is where my day went from another successful day getting paid by the City and spending an entire day supporting SBR.
I was called into the Dean’s Office. In other words I drew attention from ol’ Willie. Got my summons via PM explaining how I had violated the terms of agreement for points. We have rules about points? A natural response I’m certain. Willie being the professional he is explained how I had violated the Touting for Points rule and he let me off with a warning. Well I was pleased I only received a warning but peeved that weeks of planning to scam JJ out of a few precious points was now all but gone. Not only was my joke gone but the thread in which I cleverly lured JJ in was gone. It wasn’t simply sent to the private section it was eliminated from all existence. Now I was more astonished than upset about this little development because , I mean com’on some of the post that are allowed to stick around and mine was like…………….poof.
Bitter pill to swallow but I’m an adult. I did after all violate a rule that is hidden somewhere in some vague area of other rules that I doubt anyone has ever read anyways. So I took my warning and moved on with the rest of my day.
I come home after work and now I am on my own time here at SBR checking up on what happened since the 30 minutes I left work. I come across a post and I see an opportunity to be of service. Now naturally after having already been warned I was prepared to be very careful in how I assisted this person. I knew answering this request in open forum would surely draw attention and would have clearly violated an obvious rule. I’m smarter than the average degenerate though so I sent a PM response. Yeah I’m smart but not smart enough. Dean’s Office round 2.
Ol’ Willie again. This time Willie explains I have again violated yet another rule. I sent a site address containing certain sensitive material via private message. Willie explained this was a clear no no. Willie, I counter, this couldn’t possibly be a violation I sent it via private message. Speaking of private message Willie, how was it not PRIVATE? Willie, again being a true professional explains that even private messages are monitored for sensitive matter. So you can read my private mail but you can’t get JJ even a conical lay? Willie was annoyed at this point but he likes me I guess because he took the time to explain that he could have easily given me an infraction but since I haven’t yet become a complete tool he was giving me a break. I appreciated his 2nd warning of the day but annoyed myself at this point because I was merely trying to help. We debated back and forth and he ultimately made me understand his authority. I didn’t bow down mind you I simply chose to take the higher road and lay in wait for my time to come. I could have taken the approach some members that shall remain nameless would have taken and took on the establishment but the guy is just doing his thankless job to the best of his abilities I guess.
The moral of this long winded trivial tail of my day at SBR is this. Know your rules. Sensor your private messages because they aren’t private and if you’re planning to prank JJ don’t, the guy is an untouchable.
