Just a few days left - picks threads will be up by Wednesday night and you will have from then until post time on Friday and Saturday for the races to get selections in using your bankroll.

I will have the picks threads up either tonight or tomorrow. You have until post time on Friday and Saturday to get the picks in so you can feel free to enter them as early or late as you like. The races start at 3:30pm ET on Friday, but you can get the picks in days before if you wish.

It will be fun contest because it will get everyone to spread out a bankroll among a lot of races and be able to put more on some races than others. Or you can keep it as simple as one $50 win bet in 10 different races - totally up to you.

Actually Reload, I would likely be the favorite and I'll explain why. Tournament studies put players into 3 groups: Experts (Reload, richkas, madmaxx, joeyp1222) who know the ins and outs, the ones who know nothing (Iwinyourmoney and pokerdummy101, by their own admission) and the casual fan.

I'm as casual a horse racing fan there is. I bet on Kentucky Derby & Breeder's Cup day, watch the occasional horse race ESPN shows, go to the track 2 to 5 times a year to maybe play a pick 6 carryover with mandatory payout & 10 cent supers, and watch TVG when I travel halfway across the country to my brother's place (it's part of his basic). Even when I watch TVG I see it to listen to Exactor Man and Evangeline Downs track announcer say "Il Sont partis" at the start of each race. They both crack me up.

Guess which players have the best success? The casual fan! That's why I would be the favorite.

Basic rules as a refresher:
- $500 bankroll to be used among all 14 races
- At least $100 of it must be used on the Friday races
- No more than $50 can be used on any one race except for the Classic on Saturday which is $100 max
- Win, Place, and Exacta wagering only

The full rules cover other items like handling of scratches, etc. This is a "use it or lose it" type of bankroll as any unrisked funds just go away.

Reload, I have a quick question. The most you can bet on any race is $50 (besides the classic of course which is a $100). And the most you can bet for the entire contest is $500 regardless of your bankroll.

So basically I could go $30 x 3 races and $31 x 10 races and $100 on the classic.

This is all correct, Richkas. And the $30, $31, or $100 could be split up among lots of smaller $2, $5, etc. bets within the race if you wish.

Thanks Reload for the information on this. I will probably get account with them this evening and then I am going to get the race form on this tonight also. I think they came out today. They start on Friday at 2:30 pm so I have enough time to look at the races then.

Final odds as paid out on the tote board. Those have to be used since we're including exactas, place bets, etc. I posted the morning line odds just so people had them to go by.
