Jello was this is a free play you got from the SBR store? I hope not as you didn't follow their terms & conditions so they might cancel the wager. Stipulations on the freeplay were no teasers over 2 teams.

Are you serious? I didn't see that stipulation. I'm going to be pissed if this wins and they cancel it.... because they accepted the bet. It's been on my pending menu since Wednesday.

Maybe false alarm Jello. The terms on the SBR store say over 2 team teasers do not count towards rollover. So I guess you can bet them. I thought I read on their website something else. I will look into it. But either way you should be fine since the stipulations in the SBR store do not say your bet was illegal.

That just means it doesnt count towards the rollover. They wont cancel it.

I agree Richkas, according to the SBR store he is fine. But according to the Bet Phoenix website he isn't.

So it seems screwed up. Is the SBR store wrong or is their webpage? I would say if they accepted the bet on Wednesday and it is still valid, then they should honor it no matter what the rule.

I really want to know why their system allows the play if it's "illegal". It was certainly not my intent to break any rules, but the bottom line is they accepted the wager. On the details screen, the system has been grading each play and has the 4 winners listed as such. That's fvcked up if they take the play and then cancel it if it wins. Who reads the fine print on this kind of thing anyway? (Obviously not I.)

Again, I figured if the website took the action then the bet was legal. They've had 4 days to catch it if it wasn't. If they want to claim it was not legal then they can keep their free play and rest assured that BetPhoenix will be one book that I will never, ever use in the future.

you will be put on hold

hopefully they wont come back and tell you all the $ from the parlay win and its offspring are no good

maybe even you should find out the truth..before you get your hopes up anymore

most software wont take illegal plays unless a book is half ass or means to screw you only if you win..GL

I pm'd Justin with a link to this thread. Hopefully he can give me some peace of mind before kickoff's tomorrow. I would like to know one way or the other before the games start so that I can at least salvage the free play if I were to eventually lose the wager that was never going to be paid in the first place.

Jello...my experience with betphoenix has been nothing but the best. Richard is first class all the way, which i wouldnt say about most books. I wouldnt worry too much about your freeplay....Good Luck, hope it hits!!!

richie is a standup guy. knowing richie, i bet he'll still honor the bet.. it's not a big big amount, thank god.. thank god it's not a 3k free play to win 18k.. for 50$, i am pretty sure he'll do the right thing in your favor.

but you should find out before games tomorrow, not after.. that's important.

I hope you're right Nicky. It's not a huge deal being such a small bet, but I'm this close and I want to know before the games kick. I mean, I do feel pretty good about the Jets, Pats, and Jags all winning by at least a FG at home against 3 of the 5 worst teams in football. I know it's still a -EV proposition, but it looks really good on paper right now.

Is Richard a poster on this board?

Well, Justin told me that their bonus rules shouldn't allow this bet and that I should contact them.

I still think it's BS if this bet is no good. They accepted the wager and have been grading individual legs for 4 days now.

Just got off the phone with Phil, a sales manager at BetPhoenix. He explained to me that their rules limit free plays to 2 team teasers and 3 team parlays. However, he told me that he would give me the benefit of the doubt on this issue that I truly wasn't aware of the rule in this case (which I clearly wasn't). Phil told me that he would extend me a one time courtesy and let this bet stand for me. I want to make that clear to anyone who may find themselves in a similar situation in the future. This was a software issue that they will hopefully get resolved, but it's not a bet that should have been accepted.

I'm going to have to agree with a couple posters above in their assessment of the BetPhoenix customer service. Great experience so far. They couldn't have been nicer nor more accommodating. Even if I'm not lucky enough to finish off this teaser, I will be depositing money at this book in the near future. Thanks Phil and thanks BetPhoenix.
