Not sure...the Texas OU kickoff always seems to be early. I know the game is always in conjunction with the State Fair.

Must be something contractual with Cotten Bowl? This game has primetime written all over it.

Yeah, they will lose a lot of viewers, although I still think a ton of people will be viewing in!

Seriously? Don't they have ESPN and ABC to work with. If not on ABC, put it on ESPN.

I wouldnt wanna be around the Cotton Bowl when that game let out at a 7pm kickoff. Instant mugging once you leave the fair at that time of night.

ck the history books, this game is NEVER EVER EVER played at night. always in the daytime. at noon eastern it is the perfect time slot as they have absolutely no big games opposing it, they did this on purpose. last yr's game was also noon eastern and got a huge huge tv market share.

I can't remember this game ever having a late start... Not sure the reason but I'm pretty sure it been this way for years...

NASCAR draws bigger ratings than College Football....

ABC knows what they are doing.

I felt the same way last year. Would be much better in primetime than the "high noon" tradition.

Noon games should only be for getting all the degenerate matchups out of the way.
