    Mariano Rivera
Will we ever see another pitcher in our life like this? The best clutch athlete of our lifetime!! Sure he has been human but we will never see his kind again.

    lakerboy,

I was just thinking the same thing. Has there been a better post-seaon closer in the history of the game?

Probably not. The guy has dominated his whole career basically throwing one pitch. It is amazing.

            With a career record of 917games, 71 wins, 52 losses & 526 saves...the word 'hard' gets short!

He will never be as clutch as Mark Wohlers or John Rocker.

It's amazing how dominate of a closer he has been and still is for so many years.

An amazing talent playing for an organization dedicated to winning at any cost. A rare opportunity to pile up never seen statistics.

Imagine if Nolan Ryan had pitched for the Yankees during this same era Mariano has. Great talents and great organizations rarely stay together this long. The Yanks have Mo and Jeter.

Mariano Rivera is a freak of nature. He is lights out and has bizarre movement and placement on his pitches.

I like his attitude also, he's all business. He knows he's the best and he acts like it.

Best closer and one of the classiest players I've ever seen. No showboating, no clowning, all business. His highlight reel should be mandatory viewing for every new player.

Yankees haven't won a WS in 9 years. He can't be the MVP of the last 9 years.

Pavy, don't bring back bad memories! Pavy, tailed you in soccer one day, went 2-2 but still +units. Was going to continue to do so and then you went away for awhile after the bash! Anything on the Champs games today?

Yes, Laker, Rivera scares the crap out of me if the Phils and Yanks make it to the series! Don't want to be behind! Alot more history exists than with Broxton!
