what is this 128 man contest i would always see? not been posting much and never really played in contest on here....someone explain please?

The consensus was blocked out on day 1, but since it has been restored.

Mex after i made my pick today i clicked consensus n it said 1 pick next to over 7.5 in the consensus 2 hours be4 game started

I meant to say it was restored back to normal. It only lasted one day with it blocked out. The NIT is in the same deal.

Yeah, I saw that Mex. Pretty crappy, considering one could build their strategy around anticipating the opponent doesn't know what their picks are.

In my opinion, they should remove the consensus option all together.

True. I wonder why it didn't last more than a day? Lou has been missing as well.

Until, it is probably for the best that Louber is absent from this. He would most likely make you his choice to win out thus giving you the Loubert Jinx.

Sorry guys, when the contest ends we'll have a full breakdown of finals and will also advertise the winner's name in an SBRforum blog-roll.

The consensus option was disabled at the beginning of the Finals round. After an update to SBRpicks was made the change was nullified. Our next step is to update SBRpicks so that all tournaments only display consensus plays once each game is off the board.

Thanks for the feedback in the tourney, I'm working on getting us another 128 man to run immediately after this one ends.

Looking forward to the matchup with Untilthendoftime, both of us are 1-0 +1.00 units. Made the finals in the 1st 128 man contest and it came down to the last game, I had the Celtics -1 at Utah. Of course that was the game when Garnett went down with his knee injury and Blackbart won the contest. Hope to redeem myself and win it this time.

good luck best play i think i shot myself in the foot today but theres still plenty of time to catch up and ive been doing it so far. Wow you made the finals in the 1st 128 man? congrats on your second finalist bid. As far as the payouts go, since sbr is giving away 50 dollar free plays like nothing for points dont you think the future 128 man competitions should have alot more money involved>? i just put 6 weeks into this tourney and ill get 750 or 1250, i put 2 weeks of my time into sbr points and purchased over $500 in free plays. cmon

thanks lou ill be in the new 128 man and props to improving sbr picks on the go. For the first time using sbr picks it ran pretty smooth. I think we should be happy we didnt have 100+ individual threads for all these matchups like in the past.

With the whole point of a "consensus" being its potential use as a handicapping tool, what is gained by consensus plays set to display once each game is off the board?
