Oh man what a crappy show "The Office" has become

Compared to Curb, not sure how you can take Seinfeld as a top comedy. It's for simpletons with easy to remember catch phrases. You might be the worst "biggest fan" I've seen. So far 2 shows and both are on par with their counterparts.

I don't take myself that seriously. I firmly believe properly grammar and spelling is seen as uptight on a message board by people incapable of communicating in a similar fashion. You're actually an exception.

I never said "on par". I think the BBC Office was superior to the NBC version. However, that doesn't preclude me from finding humor in the latter. I think Curb is probably the funniest show on TV right now (although I'm in agreement on this season so far...which will include a Seinfeld reunion if you haven't been paying close attention), but that doesn't mean I didn't find Seinfeld consistently funny. You also besmirched Dexter, which is a show I enjoy quite a bit.

I am a North American (just American actually), and I think I have a very acute appreciation for true comedy. I don't withhold laughter though if something is succeeding at it's purpose. The Office makes me laugh ocassionally. 30 Rock doesn't. Two and Half Men doesn't . My sister tells me How I met Your Mother is hilarious. I watched it for about 5 minutes.... it would never make the cut. I see promise in a couple new shows this season - Modern Family and Community. Not sold on either yet, but they have earned a spot on my DVR season pass for now.

The original British version was great...funny, clever, biting...NBC got it's hands on it and it is simply putrid...who in their right mind would find this entertaing?
