Owed agents' patience, already running thin, is likely to be over as one prominent agent reportedly bailed Sunday.
Customers of Cascade’s primary agent received the call Sunday. The agent severed ties with the sports book because of the latest failed promise to settle past dues.
A similar scenario took place in the summer of 2005 after Grande's ownership withdrew their financial backing. The week long crisis ended when Delmar replaced Grande as financial backer of Cascade.
Delmar withdrew their financial and operational backing in January 2007, couple of months after agents' complaints had started to circulate within the industry.
Cascade then hooked up with the Horizon Group; however ties were once again severed less than 30 days after.
One of Cascade's two original partners retired, leaving the sports book's main man Lenny to handle this new crisis on his own.
