What kind of a sport is this that you can just quit and not lose?

So the wager is cancelled because one of the players quits?

Most books have the rule that the match must complete 2 sets before a player retires for it to be official. (Which saved me $735) So i'm pretty happy about that.

If the player quits before the 2nd set the wager is void.

Tennis must be the most fixed sport on the planet because of this rule.

You definately caught a break, but why lay that kind of chalk. The payoff isn't even worth the potential disaster.
