For the sake of this thread let's try to stay with money order and check and the differences as to ease of actually getting dollars in hand when dealing with books.Comment -

#14Originally posted by UntilTheNDofTimEOddsmakers checks were from a Canadian bank and the sportsbook checks were from a company called zip payments and it was a cashiers check( non bank if my memory serves me right). And yes bank of america credited it initially. One time i got 2 2500 dolalr checks from sportsbook and cashed like 2,000 of one of them and they gave me cash without asking questions. So you should have no problem if you deposit them in branch.Comment -

#15Well bank of America is a little different than your smaller bank. Lets say your account balance is $1.00, and you then make a $2500 atm check deposit via the atm. Your account will show a pending balance of $2501 but you would only be able to pull $101 out of the atm in cash for 2-3 business days til the check clears. But you could run to wall mart and make a 500 dollar purchase on your debit card if you wanted to cause the amount is in the account. There is a hold but its only a hold on cash not purchases. Other banks have their policy'sComment -
