What a week for the public! It’s hard to know where to begin so Monday seems about right. The players correctly tabbed the Vikings and over to get their week rolling (help from the officials but it happens). Tuesday rolled around with the players winning with Troy small but the house won the total to push the day around.
Wednesday the baseball was a wash with the Yankees getting pounded against the tired Twins and Philly also winning for the public. The house made a little comeback with the Dodgers beating Carpenter. Thursday was another win for the players with Nebraska scoring 27 4th quarter points to bury the books. The house won small on the Angel game but not enough to dent the Cornhusker win. Friday saw the players correctly tab another winner in Nevada over Louisiana Tech; the house saved a total beating by keeping the game under 56 ½.
Saturday morning the players opened up with an easy win on Michigan State and West Virginia. The only win for the house early was Arkansas knocking off Auburn. The players rallied back with Alabama creaming hapless Mississippi and the house picked up a lucky win on Ohio State covering. The public got revenge at night winning the Gators, BYU, and Fresno to connect a lot of parlays to make it a big day for the public.
Sunday was a bloody massacre; the public and wiseguys all found the Chiefs somehow and the public laid 10 to 10 ½ on Minnesota like it was a pick and they were correct to do so. The players also reeled in the other two big favorites beating up the worst two teams in the NFL in the Raiders and the Bucs winning with the Gmen and the Philly. In the late games, the public and sharps landed on Atlanta and Seattle to make it an official slaughter of the books.
